Hello there! My name is Evita and I was born and raised in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Growing up, I had the opportunity of living in different countries around Asia, which has given me a profound understanding on the different languages, dialects and accents that I was exposed to along the way. In high school I had the opportunity to study in Italy as a transfer student in a small city in the north, called Ivrea, where English was very rarely spoken. This particular experience gave me the tools, tips and tricks on how to learn Italian - and fast!Me as a Teacher
I am a very student-focused teacher. I encourage learning at the individual's own pace, which in my opinion is very vital in truly conquering a language whilst still having fun doing it. I listen to a student's needs, where they may be lacking in some areas and succeeding in others, I take note and I adjust the lessons accordingly. Every student will be different! I have had experience teaching less-fortunate children basic English and Mathematics in my home town as part of my secondary school's charity program at the time and that is truly where I found my passion for teaching. My hopes is to be able to provide a safe and exciting learning experience for everyone!My lessons & teaching style
My Italian course will consist of 20 units, each unit covers different aspects of 'Italian Life' and will consist of new vocabulary, grammar, one-on-one dialogues to practise the correct Italian pronunciation and tone, fun little puzzles, passage translations, practise tests as well as homework to be done in one's own time and reviewed together at the beginning of each lesson.
Concluding all 20 units, we will sit through 2 tests together to see how much you have learned throughout the journey with me and celebrate how far you've come!My teaching material
