Hey, my name's Valeria! I am TESOL certified from Arizona State University, and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I taught English for a year before becoming an online tutor. Currently, I am teaching both children and adults, General and Business English and Exam Preparation. I love online classes since the flexibility allows me to do my own hobbies: traveling and language learning! Hola! Soy Valeria y soy tutora de inglés certificada. Antes de recibir mi TESOL hice un Grado en Psicología. Actualmente, estoy enseñando General English, Business English y Preparación para Pruebas Lingüísticas.

Me as a Teacher

I believe in adapting to every situation and using the approach that the student and situation call for. However, I usually get to use the communicative approach. I want my students to be able to communicate effectively in the target language and immerse themselves in the culture behind it. I try to create realistic communication opportunities and give them lots of time to practice, and I use materials that fit their needs. Me adapto a cada situación y utilizo el enfoque que el alumno y la situación requieren. Sin embargo, suelo utilizar el enfoque comunicativo. Quiero que mis alumnos puedan comunicarse de forma eficaz en el nuevo idioma y sumergirse en la cultura.

My lessons & teaching style

My main focus is to teach vocabulary and grammar that my students can actually use in their real lives. I do my best to find materials that best fit their needs and give them lots of time to practice. Mi objetivo principal es enseñar vocabulario y gramática que mis alumnos puedan utilizar en su vida real. Hago todo lo posible para encontrar los materiales que mejor se adapten a sus necesidades. Intento proporcionarles muchas oportunidades para practicar el idioma.
