About Me

My name is Ayret Masaka from Zimbabwe but currently living in beautiful South Africa. Im a fun loving, adventurous person, I am kind, patient, caring, and quite attentive. I dream of traveling the world one day and experience the different cultures, food, and people. I do sketch art and I'm also a singer. During my school days I was lucky to have a tutor who was willing to take me through maths extra lessons and was patient and helpful enough to see me pass. I want to be able to be there for someone as well assisting in their success

Me as a Teacher

I have just finished my TEFL/TESOL certification and I cannot wait to impart all I have learnt, acquire knowledge in the process, and put my skills to good use. I look forward to a fulfilled learning experience.

My lessons & teaching style

Every student is different with different strengths and weaknesses thereby different needs as well. this means the lessons will also differ according to each student's needs. We start always with an introductory lesson where we get to know each other and at the same time ascertain the needs of the students. The lessons are student centered will be conversational and we can talk about anything and flourish in the english language skills while doing so.

Today was my first class with Ayret! We had a really nice and friendly talk. She was curious to know more about my country, especially about food and music. I was curious to know about arts in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Ayret was already able to set a goal to our class. She also encourages me to do a small research about any culture of my choice, then we will discuss about it in our next class. I like how she was able to structure our class by giving me a tiny homework. Even though I am canadian and consider myself bilingual, I don´t use English every day. This class will help me to build confidence and get more fluent in English.
