I am Canadian currently living in Vancouver Canada.
I am a mom to a 21 year old daughter attending University.
I moved to Costa Rica in the late 90s to work as an English Tour Guide and learned how to speak Spanish.
I don't think my Spanish is very good and I am hesitant to speak. I understand your anguish.Me as a Teacher
I started teaching online during the Pandemic. I finished my TEFL, TEOL, TEYL and Celpip Instructor lvl 1&2.
I love teaching English online. It is very rewarding for me. I have students who have passed Celpip exams, receive multiple job offers after going over Job Interview questions and answers. Get into the schools they have applied to. Its really the best thing ever and it makes me feel so good about myself when I see that I am helping others realize their dreams.
I know I have limited calendar availability, but my regular schedule is flexible. Message me if you would like classes during 10a-8pm PST. I'll do my best to fit you in. Cheers!My lessons & teaching style
I am a very relaxed person. My teaching style is Patient. I am happy to go over things until we are both satisfied.
I also like to have fun during lessons and mix things up.
The first thing I like to do, is just have a simple conversation so I can get an idea to your level and where you need the most help. I then have many fun and not so fun (difficult), lessons in my library. I will have you reading for vocabulary and pronunciation, answering all kinds of questions on different topics to expand your knowledge. Introducing Idioms and Phrasal verbs, so you can really start thinking and speaking fluently in English. I like to use the italki Classroom, it is user friendly and helpful.My teaching material

Teacher Debby is a professional teacher very nice.
Our lesson was focused on conversation and it was very easy for me to understand her because is accent is clear and neutral.
