Hi there!
My name is Arlene. I was born in Puerto Rico. I am fluent in Spanish and English and I am learning Portuguese. I have a 25-year successful career in recruitment, international programs, and public communication. I offered training sessions to thousands of business people, recruited hundreds of students and professionals and conducted numerous TV and radio interviews.
I enjoy simplicity, nature, and activities that help me stay more present in my body such as qigong and somatic meditation. My favorite book is The Alchemist.Me as a Teacher
In my experience, the biggest challenge in communicating in a new language it is not the language itself, but how nervous we feel speaking it. I look forward to sharing with you practical tools that will help you feel less nervous about your accent and more focused on what you have to offer.
My intention is to create a safe space for learning and practicing. I can support you in the following:

* improving your public speaking skills
* preparing for the U.S. Naturalization TestMy lessons & teaching style
Conversational English: I welcome students at the intermediate level.
Conversational Spanish: I welcome students from all levels.
Interview/Presentation preparation: I prefer to work with students at the intermediate level and above.
I am flexible and I adapt the sessions to your needs. I suggest pausing regularly, so that I can provide you with feedback and so that you can integrate what you are learning. The topics for discussion will be based on those areas that are most relevant to you.
