About Me
italki teacher since Apr 12, 2022
Hi, I am Ayumi. I live in Nagano, Japan.
I have lived in Canada for a year for working and in Brazil for 5 months for vacation.
I used to work on a cruise ship and visit many places as I love traveling. I have met many people from abroad and had opportunities to teach Japanese language and culture, so I decided to become a Japanese teacher to connect with more people teaching Japanese. I like not only teaching Japanese but also learning another language. In addition, I like to exercise.
Me as a Teacher
I got certified as a Japanese teacher in February 2022. As a professional, this time will be my first time teaching Japanese online though, I have been teaching a student online since January 2022. As I have learned many languages such as English, French, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish, I understand how difficult to learn languages.
I am open-minded. Do not be afraid to speak Japanese! Let's enjoy learning with me!
My lessons & teaching style
Please tell me what you want to learn and I will arrange your lesson!
I will try my best to improve your Japanese level little by little.
I will teach you in Japanese as I would like you to get used to Japanese, however, I will explain in English as necessary!

2 Japanese lessons
I had a trial lesson with Ayumi and it was great. Her English is very good and she was very encouraging and supportive as a teacher. I'm looking forward to learning more Japanese with her help.
