I grew up in the United States in the state of Michigan where we speak with a clear, neutral Midwestern accent. One year ago I moved to Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Living in a foreign country, I'm very familiar with the challenges that come with relying on a foreign language to communicate. This is why I am dedicated to helping my students with their own language learning journey.
I have a wide variety of interests such as cooking, reading, martial arts, fitness, healthy living, learning about finance, learning languages, and traveling.
I also love learning about different cultures. To me, meeting and talking with people from all around the world is a huge benefit of being an English tutor!Me as a Teacher
I've had the privilege of helping over 1000 students from more than 40 different countries learn English at all ages and levels.
Students have told me that they appreciate my enthusiasm, focus, and patience. My corrections come with lots of positivity and encouragement. I want my students to have fun during each class and to leave feeling more confident and motivated to learn more!
I love to support my students outside of class as well. Finding fun, enjoyable ways to immerse yourself in the English language can be one highly effective way of staying consistent with your studies. I have many techniques and strategies to offer on how to do this.My lessons & teaching style
My students also complement me on my clear enunciation. I speak slowly with a standard Midwestern accent that is easy to understand.
My teaching method is entirely student oriented. The content of each lesson will depend on the needs, wants, and interests of the student. That's why I like to get to know my students first, establish goals second, then gather appropriate materials that will benefit that student. Maximum student output during each lesson will usually be the main goal.
I like to take advantage of the "share screen" feature in the classroom. With this, we can look at images, watch videos, and read articles that will improve the effectiveness of each lesson!My teaching material

Brandon is a great teacher and also a nice guy. Since I started taking classes with him, I have noticed a great improvement in my English. One of my biggest issues was the fear of speaking English with other people and Brandon helped me overcome that and feel more confident speaking English. I am almost beginner in English and I was very nervous starting my first lesson. And I'm very glad it was Brandon. Attentive and friendly attitude help me to learn English with pleasure. Personal lessons based on my asks help to close the gaps in my knowledges. We may discuss about everything, Brendon corrects me and gives advice on how to say things better. After just a month of classes, I began to notice that I hear and speak better. I can definitely recommend Brendon as a proffessional teacher and i will continue study with him.
