My name is Alana & I am an experienced, TEFL qualified English teacher with a degree in International Business. I enjoy making classes fun, worthwhile and memorable!
My passion is travelling and I have lived in Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey & Kenya. I have my own YouTube channel where I post all things travel related. My other passion is meeting new people. I am a very fun, approachable & kind teacher, nothing is too much hassle.
We can have engaging conversations about any topic you feel like or you can give me topics ahead of time. I will ensure you learn new words & phrases as well as perfect pronunciation & grammar mistakes all in a fun & enjoyable way!Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I am patient, approachable & kind. It is extremely important to me to make students feel comfortable to speak in a language that is not their mother tongue. I try to be the teacher I would want if I were to try & learn French again..!
We can plan classes together ahead of time covering topics of your choice or I can lead the conversation in an interesting & unexpected way to practise your natural English conversation. I always ensure you come away from class feeling accomplished learning new words & phrases. We can track your progress together by discussing your goals & ambitions & finding a road map to getting there. I WILL help you achieve all of your English goals!My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is down to earth & fun. I enjoy making students laugh & having a relaxed & enjoyable lesson. I will always be polite, kind & considerate of your culture, thoughts and opinions! I will never judge ANY student and can cater to all levels of English ability.
We can decide ahead of time or during the class on how we want to structure the lesson. We can have a generation conversation or narrow in on specific topics of your choice. I can also plan interesting & challenging topics to practise different vocabulary. We can also choose to discuss articles or graphs together to test crucial technical responses.
