About Me

My goal is to make language learning lively and engaging so that you leave the class smiling and feeling confident. I’ve got a master’s degree in language teaching and lots of experience with all age groups, from kindergarten to golden age.
Supporting the student and working to understand their needs & learning style - that’s what’s most important to me when it comes to teaching.My lessons & teaching style
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and that’s why pictures will be our best friends on this language journey. We will describe them, use them to learn new words and concepts, tell stories about them - the possibilites are endless.
Another thing my students love are language games - they help us relax and you get to be active and use the language right away.
Finally, we will include some TPR and learn through gestures and movements to enhance your memory.
Maybe you already know what you need and have your own established ways of learning. I’m happy to support you in that way, too.

2016 - 2021
Teacher (EFL, Croatian language, and other) Croatian public and private schoolsDuring my university education, I've participated in teacher training programs and conducted many lessons of English and Croatian language. I've worked both with individual students and groups up to 30 students. This provides me with vast experience in the field of first/second/foreign language acquistion. I was able to develop important skills, such as preparing classes that are student-centered, creating lesson plans and materials, and having the patience and ability to support the students.
2021 - 2022
English teacher Žiger Foreign Language SchoolMy work included preparing and conducting EFL courses for groups of students, ranging from kindergarden to adult age. I've gained a lot of practical experience with early FL acquisiton, especially because some of the children in kindergardens haven't had any formal English lessons by the time I started teaching them. On the other hand, I was teaching EFL to adults, including older adults. This enabled me to directly compare language acquisiton differences and challenges in various age groups.
2022 - 2022
Croatian teacher RiletinaMy work at this language school consisted of planning numerous courses for young children, teens and adults for myself and other teachers. Course planning included macroplanning and microplanning, as well as marketing and organising events to support Croatian as a foreign language teaching. I've created learning materials and provided weekly feedback to each of the students in my groups, and I've evaluated their progress at the end of a given period.

Master's - English language, General educationMy studies included both English and Croatian language courses, accompanied by a great number of courses on teaching methodology and psychology (some of which were specifically targeted at foreign language acquisition), which enabled me to develop skills necessary to create motivating, professional and efficient language lessons.
