I use both my professional and life experiences to shape my teaching. I strongly believe every child deserves the right to a good education, despite their circumstances. In addition, I believe my role as a teacher is as much preparing students with the life skills and critical thinking needed to thrive as adults as it is ensuring academic progress. I found my love of learning in a role at NBCUniversal, working for the internal learning and development team. Once qualified in Mexico, my primary school teaching jobs helped me to develop my classroom management, lesson planning and passion for being an educator.My lessons & teaching style
I am a teacher who creates relationships with students based on mutual respect. I regard this as integral to building confident and resilient pupils and to fostering a love of education. When a student feels safe and respected they will lead their own inquiry-based learning, deepening their understanding through questioning and mistakes. I don't think you can force someone to learn, but by making learning purposeful and fun, you have more potential to make an impact. I try to develop exciting ways of teaching with the aim of getting the pupils to enjoy the learning process. This includes giving them a goal for their studies and a reason to do their best in every activity.My teaching material

Work Experience
2017 - 2018
English Teacher Collegio Albert EinsteinThis was my first teaching job, were I taught English as a second language to primary school students. My responsibilities were as follows:
● Teaching 3rd and 6th Grade as an English Specialist
● Appointed to organise English school events (Halloween/Christmas/Easter shows)
● Devised and implemented a new English exam for the school
This role helped me devise excellent lesson plans and utilise precise differentiation in my teaching because of such varied ability.
2018 - 2020
Primary School Teacher The British American SchoolThis role allowed my to polish my teaching skills in both classroom based learning and online teaching (during the pandemic).
● Teaching 2nd and 5th Grade the Knotion (United Nations Sustainability Goals) Curriculum

Beth is an excellent teacher, very professional, she quickly detects your weak points and tailors the lesson to your needs right away and with excellent results. She is awesome, I learnt a lot in just one lesson.

Beth is an incredible teacher--very enthusiastic, motivating, patient and friendly. She is also very committed teacher and she takes the student's needs very seriously-- she comes to the lesson prepared with a solid plan, and no time is wasted during the lesson. With every minute in the lesson I learn something new. On top of all of that, she has a strong grip over the language in terms of grammar, accent, writing, and all the aspects non-native speakers feel like they need to improve. Beth's teaching skills are fantastic, and she knows how to address the language issues which I struggle with. I feel very satisfied with the lessons and with her teaching skills and techniques. I feel over the moon that my English accent started to noticeably improve. I'm so lucky I found Beth on ITALKI, and I would highly recommend her for all students who are looking for a really committed teacher, and who want to see a genuine improvement in their English language.
