Hello, I am Betty. I am an English teacher on italki. I am from Hong Kong and I am living in Hong Kong now. I got my Master Degree from City University of Hong Kong, majoring in English Studies. I love sports, music, movies and reading. I am an amiable young lady who likes to meet people from all over the wold. And I have a great passion about teaching.Me as a Teacher
Five-year teaching experience has strengthened my communication skills and English teaching capability. At the university, I worked as the research assistant to assist the undergraduates with their theses from coherence, cohesion and logical thinking. Besides, I mentored the PHD student in English speaking, polishing the pronunciation and presentation skills. I worked as an online English teacher imparting knowledge in English to adults including pronunciation, oral English, grammar, TOEFL and business English. Later, I joined Monkey Tree, an English learning centre in Hong Kong to teach children aged 3-11 phonics, trinity, Cambridge, reading and speaking, grammar and writing.My lessons & teaching style
On account of my rich teaching experience, I have various teaching materials including PDF file, presentation slides, video files and picture books. I can also teach a wide range of classes, like kids' English, oral English, grammar, writing, TOEFL and IELTS. I believe every student has a special demand, so I will study the teaching materials thoroughly and prepare my class carefully in an effort to giving high-quality lessons. My life-long teaching philosophy is that a teacher’s responsibility is not merely imparting knowledge, but more importantly developing students’ interests in study and helping them keep their passions because this will be their lifetime benefit.My teaching material
