All my different jobs have featured an element of teaching and helping people to understand and improve and this the same for teaching. I make sure I understand the priorities and interests of the student to be sure I am helping them in the best possible way.My lessons & teaching style
If a student knows exactly how he/she wants to learn then that is good (eg wants to take lots of notes or needs to repeat words or focus on pronunciation etc etc) and I follow their lead. Some people do not know and I can suggest some ways of conducting the class but this should always be flexible and we can change or adapt at any time. The most important thing for me is to create and provide a fun and stimulating atmosphere to allow the person to speak as much as possible and increase their confidence in speaking English!My teaching material
