Hello! My name is Max and I live in the southwest U.S. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish and in the fall I will be attending law school. I love to exercise, watch movies/tv, but my true passion is eating food :). One of the best parts about learning another language is learning a new food culture and I am happy to help you on that journey! ¡Hola! Soy Max y vivo en el suroeste de los EE.UU. Tengo un título en español y en el otoño estudiaré derecho. Me gusta hacer ejercicios, mirar peliculas/series, pero mi pasión es comer :). Una ventaja de aprender idiomas es conocer una nueva gastronomía y ¡estoy listo para ayudarle en esta aventura!

Me as a Teacher

As a teacher my first and only priority is nothing more than to help you. Whether you are here to improve your English or your Spanish, from day one I will ask what your goals are and how you want to use your target language. Going over present continuous isn't helpful if you're an advanced student looking for conversation practice. You are in control of your lessons. Como profesor, mi meta es nada más que ayudarle. Si quiere mejorar su inglés o español, desde el principio le preguntaría cuales son sus metas y cómo quiere usar la lengua en cuestion. Estudiar el presente perfecto no sirve si usted es un alumno avanzado y solamente quiere conversar. Usted tiene el control de sus lecciones.

My lessons & teaching style

Generally I start a lesson with a text (short clip, photo, or actual text) of authentic material in order practice your passive skills (reading, listening). Afterwards, you should be the one doing most of the talking! The most important parts of language learning are speaking and listening, and that is what I am here to help you with. En general empiezo mis lecciones con un texto autentico (video, foto o texto) para practicar sus habilidades pasivas (leer, escuchar). Despues, ¡usted debe hablar más que yo! Los mejores aspectos de aprender idiomas son hablar y escuchar, y estoy aqui para ayudar con los dos.
