I’m pretty shy, but Émilie is so warm and friendly that I actually feel decently comfortable stuttering through all the French I remember with her. I don’t think I’ve ever had another French teacher be so completely nonjudgmental and patient as I formulate my French sentences in real-time during her conversation classes. She provides feedback in a very gentle way and her conversation classes feel more like a relaxed, fun FaceTime call with your bestie rather than a stiff classroom environment. Her welcoming personality actually encourages me to try (and sometimes fail) more in French rather than stay in my comfort zone with basic sentences. I’ve been really enjoying the conversation classes I’ve been taking with her - I always feel more accomplished and encouraged to continue with my French studies after them! 🤍
