Hello there! I’m Toby and I’m from the UK. I’ve taught English in Italy, Thailand, Korea and online. I really enjoy exploring the world and making connections with people from other countries. Aside from teaching, I love cooking and all kinds of music. I’m always learning something, right now it’s coding and Japanese. I wonder what you enjoy learning about? (Aside from English of course.)

Me as a Teacher

After 4+ years of teaching and a CELTA certificate in English teaching, I have the experience and knowledge to help you improve your English! I have spent lots of time studying languages myself, so I know the challenges you face. I started self-studying Korean in 2018, and I really wish I did more lessons with a teacher! A good teacher will guide you, give you time to think and help as soon as you need it. .👍 We can use italki classroom, Zoom or Skype. I like to use Google Docs to write notes so that you can keep them after the lesson.

I offer 2 kinds of lessons: 🟢 Conversation 💬 I can prepare materials and questions to help you talk as much as possible! I can help with any English questions you may have. We can talk about what you do well and what you can improve. 🔵 Focused 🔎 This is your choice, what do you need help with? I can help you with: ➡ Using specific grammar ➡ Pronunciation ➡ Roleplays: Job interviews, travelling, daily activities 🔶If you aren't sure, don't worry! We can use a textbook as a basis.
