About Me

I am from the northern coast of Colombia. I am 30 years old. I'm a chemical engineering but I currently work in my digital business. I like challenges and languages, and enjoy helping and teaching since I was in the school. Soy de la costa norte colombiana. Tengo 30 años. Soy ingeniera química de profesión pero trabajo actualmente en mi negocio digital. Me gustan los retos, me encantan los idiomas. Me gusta ayudar y disfruto enseñar desde la época de colegio.

Me as a Teacher

I'm attentive to my students' needs so I can get focused on strategies that make each one's learning process more significant. I'm patient, yet active. I think it's important to put myself at their level so I can genuinely undestand them, connect and be aligned with them and then being able to help them make progress more effectively. Atenta a las necesidades de mis estudiantes, y a partir de allí, enfocarme en estrategias con las que el aprendizaje resulte más significativo para ellos. Soy paciente, pero también activa... Pienso que es importante ubicarme en el nivel de ellos para entenderlos y conectar y luego de allí ayudarlos a avanzar.

My lessons & teaching style

I like teaching with practice and conversations, and along the way, clarifying doubts on grammar, pronunciation and the use/context of some phrases or words. Me gusta enseñar con la práctica, con conversaciones... Y en el camino aclarar dudas relacionadas gramática, pronunciación, o contexto del uso de frases o palabras.

Very productive classes. My main goal is to practice tech talk and widen my chemistry vocabulary (Lina being an engineer in this field), but it is a lot of fun to stray from the subject, because you can talk about really anything with Lina.
