About Me

I am also currently learning another language (French). I am from America. I was born in California, and I lived there for the first 15 years of my life. When I was 15, I moved to Nashville Tennessee. I went to Austin Peay State University about an hour north of Nashville. I received my Bachelor's degree in business administration. After college, I met my wife in Nashville, and shortly after we were married, we moved to Portugal where we had 3 children, and we lived there for 4 years. We are now currently living out in the country in France in a region called Brittany (or Bretagne in French). I love sports, outdoors, animals, and family.Me as a Teacher
I have taught English professionally now for the last 3 and 1/2 years. I have been working with a company called VIPKID since August of 2018. I've worked with children between the ages of 3-16, and I have also done private tutoring for young adults. I am very relaxed and slow. I have practiced French and Portuguese for some time now, so I understand how hard it can be to listen to the new and unfamiliar sounds. I enjoy teaching and meeting new students. Also, my schedule is flexible. If you do not see an available time that works for you, feel free to ask if I have that time for you!My lessons & teaching style
I have a lot of different curriculums for different levels. In a lesson with a new student, I like to introduce ourselves and get a feel for what the student is looking to get out of each lesson, and I move forward from there. I like to make the students feel relaxed and enjoy the class, because I know how nerve wracking it can be trying to learn a new language.My teaching material
