I was born in Colombia into an Italian family. I grew up within the Italian culture (language, food, traditions, etc.) in a Spanish-speaking country, therefore I am completely bilingual. I attended an Italian school, after which I moved to Italy to do university at the University of Bologna. I am currently studying a BA in Spanish Language and Literature at UNED University, Madrid. I play drums and percussion, and I love World Music. In fact, I have studied Latin, Brazilian and Arabic percussion. I really enjoy teaching languages, and see how my students make progress. I am currently studying French and a bit of Russian.Me as a Teacher
I have been formally teaching languages for over 8 years now. I have taught Italian, Spanish as a Foreign Language, and also English both at High School and University, plus, of course, private lessons. I do this job with passion, because I myself am passionate about learning languages and about knowing other cultures, therefore I not only transmit linguistic knowledge, but also cultural facts (story, geography, traditions, etc.).My lessons & teaching style
I'm certain that in Foreign Language situations (learner lives in a country where the target language is not spoken), the study of the grammatical structures becomes very relevant, but always focused on communication. However, as a one-to-one teacher I come to terms with my students: more conversational, or grammar-focused, or in-depth writing, etc. depending on their needs and objectives. I constantly encourage them to actively participate during the lesson, and to not be afraid of making mistakes, as they are extremely important in the learning process. I try to stimulate them by bringing up their passions, not mine, since this creates a motivational connection with what is being learned.My teaching material

I did not know what to expect. I have been studying off and on for over 30 years and I am now ready to get serious about it. I need a good teacher.
He picked up on the fact that I know many things but it needs to be pulled together and we need to add what I have been missing. Stay tuned. I think that he probably will be reliable and be firm where needed.
