*Please note: I am not offering classes for children at this time, so I can focus on giving the best classroom experience to my older learners. Thank you.* Hi! I'm Anna, from New York. I'm a language lover who enjoys food, exercise, sunny weather, and learning about other cultures. I speak English, Spanish, and French, and I'm just starting to learn Brazilian Portuguese! In the past couple years I have lived in Spain and France, and I'm currently based in New York. When I'm not working on my languages, you can find me trying new recipes, visiting local museums, running, salsa dancing, and doing yoga.

Me as a Teacher

I've been teaching English since 2018 to learners of different ages and levels, from elementary school through adult learners. During the pandemic, I shifted to online teaching and learned how to take full advantage of the virtual classroom. I love using video and audio, screen sharing, and online tools & games in creative ways to make remote instruction rewarding and fun!

My lessons & teaching style

Communication is the purpose of language, so my goal for you, the student, is to USE English to connect with people and have new experiences! In class, we’ll build speaking skills with interesting conversation and role-playing activities that put you into real-life situations, like shopping at a local market or doing a job interview. We will also make lessons fun by playing games and learning about cultural traditions. Lastly, we will practice grammar and pronunciation in a supportive way, with both practice exercises and free speaking, to help you feel confident in your expression!
