Hi everyone!
I am a native English speaker living in the North of England and I would be so excited to help you improve your language skills. I am currently studying for an undergraduate degree in Modern Languages and have a passion for learning languages. I can speak conversational French and am currently learning Japanese and Italian at B1 level. As you can tell I love languages and other cultures so I am very excited to be able to help others learn about English.
I would say that I'm a very open and welcoming person. I am happy to talk about all things and would love to hear about your passions and your languages learning goals.

I am a welcoming person and encourage speaking in English in lessons as much as possible. Making mistakes is a key part in the learning process and allows you to develop your skills.
I have previous experience teaching secondary school students in language classes and have also spent time shadowing primary school teachers. Being a language student myself, I know how to make lessons useful and engaging. I would love to share the techniques I have used myself to learn other languages in order to help you achieve your goals.My lessons & teaching style
I believe that conversational practice is key to learning a language. I will follow structured lessons themed around different topics and use listening and speaking exercises to become more familier with aspects of the language and culutre.
I enjoy using songs and short stories as learning material as it can be different from usual grammar exercises. I also think learning about culture and holidays is important and will take the time to teach about key aspects of culture whilst also improving your language skills.
I am happy to tailor lessons to your level and what you are confident in. We can also have lessons dedicated to any grammar aspects or topics if you struggle in certain areas.My teaching material

Rowan is an amazing teacher. She is so calm, patient, quite intelligent. She loves pop culture and learning languages. I think I'm going to be able to improve my English language skills a lot with her. I'd certainly recommend her as a teacher.
