Mariana Acosta G

I've been working with Mariana for about 9 months now, and my Spanish has improved so much since I started working with her. She is so helpful and encouraging! I especially appreciate that she has good exercises, topics, and homework for advanced students (B2-C1), which can be hard to find on iTalki. However I would certainly recommend her for students of all levels :)

Mariana is a really great teacher, she is patient and happy to answer any and all questions when they arise. Previously I could often feel embarrassed when speaking Spanish, but in my lessons with Mariana she creates a comfortable environment that has allowed me to become more comfortable making mistakes (which she always helps to me to identify) and therefore more confident when speaking. She’s organised with content but also happy to allow conversation to flow around topics in the lesson plan which makes for a more natural feel. I look forward to more lessons - thanks Mariana!

Lessons with Mar have been brilliant - she's a kind and empathetic teacher who is always interested in what I have to say and has gone out of her way to find relevant materials and topics that I'll find engaging. She's also always quick to pick up any mistakes I make and to give me the chance to correct myself. A great series of lessons, and I'd definitely recommend her as a teacher. ¡Muchísimas gracias, Mar!

Class was great! Mariana spoke primarily in Spanish which I thought would be difficult for me but she spoke slow and any words I had trouble with we paused and took notes. As a beginner I usually feel really embarrassed attempting to talk in Spanish but it felt like a calm safe space to try and learn from my mistakes. I’m excited to grow my speaking abilities and knowledge/understanding of the language with Mariana!
