About Me

I have been teaching children in schools for 10+ years now. While earning my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at UCF, I began teaching students through internships. After graduating, I worked full-time as a 4th grade and kindergarten teacher. I taught kindergarten for 4 academic years, where a large part of the curriculum was dedicated to teaching students how to read, write and speak English! I've also worked as a substitute teacher in both the United States and Australia. In addition to my Bachelor's, I also have a Professional Reading Endorsement, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement from UCF, and I have taught over 150 students!My lessons & teaching style
One type of lesson I offer are conversational lessons, where I will provide lots of conversation starters/topics for us to discuss and help you to build a wide-range of vocabulary. My other lessons focus on individual skills you may need improvement on such as reading comprehension, reading fluency, writing skills, word work/phonics, and more! I can determine what type of lesson is best for you during our trial lesson or you can choose! Whatever you'd like practice with, I'm happy to help! We can start with the very basics, letters, sounds, and blending, or I can meet you wherever you are in your English journey!My teaching material
