Hi! I’m a 31 year old Belgian teacher who lives in sunny Spain. I was born and raised in Ghent (Belgium), where I studied History (MA) and did my teacher training. After obtaining my degree, I travelled for two years, as I have always been intrigued by foreign cultures and languages.
I have joined this platform to teach Dutch (my native tongue) and English (I obtained my CELTA-degree at International House Seville)! I am passionate about languages and love to meet new people. I can combine these passions by teaching you Dutch and/or English on Italki.

I started teaching in 2016 and absolutely love my job! I have experience teaching kids, teenagers and adults, both online as face-to-face. I taught beginners (A1-A2) and advanced learners (B2-C1) in Dutch and English. My students describe me as friendly, enthusiastic and structured.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are student-driven and interactive, as I believe that is the best way to learn! I always try to create a calm, encouraging and positive teaching environment.
I tailor my lessons to your goals and interests and focus on what you need. A typical class includes the introduction of a new topic (vocabulary, grammar, …) and lots of time to practice!
I teach general language skills (speaking, reading, listening, writing) and use different media and materials to practice these skills (PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, flashcards, games, …). During the lesson, I will write down notes and tips for you to review after class.My teaching material

Wat een leuke les met Laura! Het was mijn eerste les met haar maar ik moet zeggen dat het fantastisch was, ze is erg vriendelijk en de tijd ging zo snel voorbij :) Ze was super geïnteresseerd om mij te helpen en dat vind ik super mooi, ik ga zeker nog veel lessen boeken!
