About Me

Hello! How are you? My name is Leyre and I currently work in spain as an english teacher. I am fluent in english and spanish, but am also practicing french and a tiny bit of russian. I studied in Enlgand and have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography with First Class Honours. I enjoy keeping active, both mentally and physically, so I always like to keep busy. My hobbies include sketching, exploring new places and more recently, learning how to skate.

Me as a Teacher

I enjoy teaching english because it brings together different cultures, so I have signed up to get my TEFL certificate and I want to continue teaching abroad! I am patient and talkative and have experience with one to one and large group classes. I like discussing topics and making sure you understand, so I focus on pronunciation and will include lots of additional teaching material for you to practice.

My lessons & teaching style

I like to discuss topics that can be challenging in order to push you and help you progress. I am also comfortable using tests or quiz material if the student wants- each class can be tailored to YOUR specific needs. I explain, then repeat and ask questions about words or material we cover. If you have any questions about things you do not understand feel free to ask as many as you like.

This is the second lesson with Leyre and she kept high level of commitment towards her student. From topic selection to study pace, Leyre carefully tailored her teaching strategy and adjusting with student's performance accordingly. Absolutely a blast taking classes with Leyre and definitely will come back for further sessions!

Leyre is very patient and experienced in teaching adults. Her passion for cross-cultural learning is quite motivating. She can grasp the essentials on each student very quickly and gives thoughtful advices to balance the learning outcome. Besides, Leyre is super sweet and comforting: her smile can erase all the bad vibes and makes student feel relaxed while study. Five-star for Leyre!
