About Me

Hello. I am called Helen and I am a qualified teacher in the United Kingdom. My native language is English and I also speak French, German and a little bit of Spanish. I love teaching. I also have a business background as I worked for the German company Siemens for 6 years. I have two children who are 9 and 11 years old. I live in Chester and have 1 dog and 3 cats. I love working with the computer and enjoy web design and using content management systems.

Me as a Teacher

I am a passionate, patient and caring teacher. I believe the key to good lessons is preparation, clear objectives and the understanding of pupils' needs. Feedback on pupil progress is equally vital, as well adjusting teaching methods where necessary. I understand the difficulties of learning a second language as I have learnt French and German to degree level and Spanish to a basic level. I hope I am able to share my own experiences to help you on your own language learning journey.

My lessons & teaching style

Lessons are entirely tailored to the needs of the pupil. My teaching style will adapt accordingly, depending on the age and level of the pupil. Lessons will have clear objectives. Activities will be relevant, structured and well-paced.
