About Me

I have a TEFL and taught English in Taiwan for a year. I taught groups and individuals from many age ranges and backgrounds. I enjoyed the small classes and individual mentoring the most, because I could spend more time ensuring that each student was happy with the pace of their language learning, and I could get to know their learning styles well. I love to teach conversational English, as I find that memory retention is a lot better when learning takes this informal and fun route. I also teach guitar, ukulele and creative writing, and have a certificate in psychology. I also teach photography and filmmaking.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are completely adapted to the learner, but I believe that using material and teaching in a context that is fun, familiar and supportive to the learner's needs is ultimately the most important strategy. I make use of conversational techniques that are embedded with language learning methodology and I believe in harnassing the human instinct to learn through games and activity. From my time teaching, I have a wealth of learning material, be that flash cards, test examples or language orientated articles, and I am confident that my lessons can tick the box for every style of learner.My teaching material
