My name is Julie, I'm 29 years old and I live in Angers. I was born and raised in Angers, France, but I love to travel. My mother is from French Guiana and I had the chance to discover a lot of countries when I was a child and I try to keep up this way.
I love cooking as well. I especially try to cook dishes that I discovered during my travels. I feel like food is a way to get to know a culture and often has to do with history.
I also love cinema, it’s a passion that my father gave me, and it is now one of my favorite hobby.
I used to play badminton, unfortunately I stopped during Covid 19 as the club closed. But I yet not lost my smash 😉Me as a Teacher
I have a master degree in teaching French as a foreign language. I received my diploma from the university of my city and I have 2 years of teaching experience. I started with conversation lessons with students on campus. Due to the Covid 19 situation, I discovered online teaching and found this opportunity to reach people that far away from me amazing. I gave classes online : grammar, culture, workshops… More recently I lead a French training program for migrants in order to help them to integrate the labor market in France. Indeed, we all know that language can be a barrier to employment. This experience was really enriching.My lessons & teaching style
People who learned with me often say that I’m an incredibly patient teacher. As I’ve been myself in the place of learning a new language I know how difficult it can be. But also how important it is to feel engaged into the learning process. This is why I try to use various pedagogical contents that will entertain you and get you to your goal at the same time. It will be important for me to get to know you so that I can create materials that will fit you. I also think that a good learner-teacher relationship is crucial in the acquisition process !My teaching material

Julie provides current, lively material during the lesson that gives the session real energy. She takes the time to prepare for you individually and makes such an effort. Julie is a go to teacher.

I am meeting roughly weekly with Julie at this point. She is terrific and very patient. She cares that I am learning and takes time to help me with my (many) problem areas.
