About Me

Hi everyone! My name's Kieran Smith and I'm an English teacher from the United Kingdom. I've been teaching English at a local language school in Colombia, as I travel and work throughout the amazing continent of South America. This has given me some amazing experience, exchanging cultures with Colombians and other Latinos, through the beauty of learning a language (I've also learnt some Spanish along the way!). I have a degree in Business Finance and participated in an Erasmus scheme whilst studying, which allowed me to live in beautiful Barcelona, Spain. I'm hugely passionate about sports, in particular football! I also enjoy watching the news, films and discussing global affairs.

I'm a flexible teacher and will always try my best to personalise to your needs. I'm TEFL certified so can teach English as a second or foreign language. Please feel free to let me know what you'd like to learn.

My lessons & teaching style

My learning style is informal and conversation based (typically British). I strongly believe feeling comfortable and confident is crucial when learning a new language. I will correct your mistakes along the way and ensure the lessons are interactive and authentic. I'm a strong believer that talking about topics you are passionate about will enhance your learning, therefore I may ask for topic suggestions. See you in the classroom!
