About Me

I am half English and half Brazilian, currently living in London, as a student of arts and design, however, I grew up in São Paulo, Brazil and am really passionate and in synch about the culture, arts and music. On my free time I enjoy doing anything within the creatives, such as photography, painting, singing, playing the guitar and more. Eu sou metade Inglesa metade Brasileira, no momento eu moro in Londres e estudo Design na faculdade. Eu cresci em São Paulo, Brasil, e sou apaixonada pela cultura, artes e música. No meu tempo livre eu amo fazer qualquer coisa relacionada a artes, como fotografia (especialmente analógica), pintura, cantar, tocar a guitarra e mais.

Me as a Teacher

I would love to help students that have studied the language before (English or Portuguese) so we can develop their skills, mostly through conversation, however, I am happy to adapt to each individuals needs. As a community tutor my classes are more relaxed so you can practice and thrive on your topics of interest as well as learn about the culture. Eu adoraria ajudar estudantes que anteriormente já estudaram a língua (Inglês ou Português) para que possamos desenvolver as habilidades linguisticas de acordo com a necessidade e objetivo individual do aluno. As aula são focadas em conversação em um tom informal mas também desenvolvidas de acordo com o interesse particular do aluno.

My lessons & teaching style

My classes are mostly conversational and relaxed to help the student practice and improve their language skills whilst talking about topics of their likings. I would also love to talk about the Brazilian culture and I am also always happy to help with any questions so you can improve your skills. Minhas aulas são de conversação e informal para que o aluno possa praticar de desenvolver as suas habilidades especialmente em temas que ele individualmente tem interesse em se aprofundar. Eu também adoraria falar sobre cultura e responder qualquer duvida do aluno.

Sophia is an amazing teacher. We had a productive lesson today. We talked a little bit about life in London because I'm going to London for master's degree. She gave me a lot of useful advice. Then we discussed a news article about arts, which she specializes in. There were many parts where I didn't understand, but she was very patient and explained them to me very well :)
