I have never taught Italian 'professionally' and my experience as a teacher is limited to voluntary work for some organization that helps refugees and immigrants to integrate into society. However, coming from a family of immigrants myself, I am well aware of the initial mistakes made by those who are approaching Italian for the first time, what the different approaches to learning can be and, above all, I am familiar with the kind of patience and support that is needed to keep up with those who are approaching a foreign language for the first time.
I'm a working student so giving lessons here would be limited to a few hours per week.My lessons & teaching style
Generally, I prefer informal, friendly but also stimulating talks, perhaps inspired by some shared article, essay, film, video or presentation. However, I do not deal with grammar in fact all sessions are conversational, perhaps kept constant and stimulating thanks to article, essay, film, video or presentation. For this purpose generally a minimum good level of Italian is already required for understanding, but we can converse even if you are just starting out and want to practice. I can also help you with more academic and complex texts or oral presentations.My teaching material
