For many years, I worked as a Tour Guide in my hometown, Cartagena. This is where I perfected my English and educational interaction with people from all-over the world. During the last 3 years, I have delved deeply in the particular world of Spanish teaching, in one-on-one classes with Beginner and Intermediate students from Europe, Asia and the US. I started teaching in person to foreigners in Bogotá, Colombia, and the last couple of years I've adopted the digital/remote format of teaching, which has proven to be very productive and rewarding for me and my students. Now, I want to try the italki platform and continue helping others expand their language skills and their lives.My lessons & teaching style
My style is based on the crossing of two main axes: fostering in my students the capacity for natural, real-life speaking skills and a careful strategy progressive technical lessons that cover grammar topics from every area of Spanish. I combine cultural content, with pragmatic grammar lessons and regard the motivation of my students' conversational aptitude as my priority. I like using diverse video content, classic flashcards and helpful images in every class.My teaching material
