Hi! I'm Kaisha but you can call me Kai. I'm from Cavite, Philippines. I am hardworking, self-motivated, and committed to being the best I can be. I'm interested in many different topics, and I'm happy to focus on my learners' goals. I have a TEFL certificate and also took a Japanese class for beginners. I've taught children from ages 6 to 12 as a part-time job. Teaching is one of the things I enjoyed the most. It gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge and be able to know the culture of others. We can talk about anything under the sun while improving your Tagalog. If you're having difficulties in speaking, writing, and reading I can definitely help you.
Me as a Teacher
My goal as a teacher is to improve my student’s education and help them grow knowledgeably. I believe that in order to be an effective teacher is you have to be enthusiastic about your teaching as this will then rub off on your students and make it more enjoyable for them to learn. One of my strengths as a teacher is that I take criticism really well, so if there's anything you see about my style of teaching that you think I should improve upon, then I would be more than happy to listen and implement the suggested changes.
My lessons & teaching style
One of my most effective methods is the Communicative Language Teaching Style, where I will teach the language based on the types of situations my students will find themselves in. I find to be highly effective because the students can then put into practice what they have learnt once they leave the classroom. The second style I use is a Hybrid Style, where I will teach the language using my knowledge and my life experiences while staying within the boundaries of the curriculum.
