As simple as it sounds, the best way to learn English is to speak it as much as possible! I base my lessons around creating opportunities for students to speak English in contexts that are actually relevant to their everyday lives. Learning English is all about learning the information and then practicing it with a prepared teacher (me!) who can help guide your use of that information, so that is what I aim for in every lesson I teach.My lessons & teaching style
A typical structured lesson with me will include an introduction to the topic, at least two practice activities, and an activation activity that gives the student the chance to apply what they've been practicing in the lesson. An example of a practice activity is a matching quiz, a reading comprehension study, or a conversation prompt. While the structure of my lessons is set and important to the overall goal of the lesson, my teaching style is more relaxed. I prefer to be friends with my students enough so that they are comfortable talking and being corrected as they learn! I aim to create a comfortable environment where the student feels free to practice the language.My teaching material
