My main teaching experience comes from the year I spent as an Au Pair in New Zealand for 3 children aged 10, 12 and 2. Although the older children did not need help with English as much, I was still focused on educating them with whatever I could through general conversation. When I arrived the 2-year old I cared for could not yet speak, and through various channels such as video, reading and general conversation I aided her in developing her speaking skills. I also have experience from the practical session on my TEFL qualification where I had to present specialised lessons in front of a group, to which I received positive feedback.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is laid-back whilst being structured enough to help. If you are looking for general conversation, then we can simply do that and have a chat! If you want something more focused, then we can put together a full lesson plan and goals to achieve this. I will structure lessons to focus on areas and topics you wish to learn, using a range of materials that best suit your learning style to help.5.0
