I am a native English speaker from Aspen, Colorado in the United States. I live in the Rocky mountains and enjoy a very active outdoor lifestyle with many varied interests and hobbies. I am truly a Renaissance Woman as I have had wonderful experiences and am a perpetual student of life with lots to share. I love to travel and meet new friends, explore other cultures and dine on fabulous new foods! I believe that travel is one of the best ways to connect all of us as one human race, learning from each other and lifting each other up to reach our goals and aspirations. Teaching english online is the best way i can think of to be able to travel and connect and hopefully bring joy to others.Me as a Teacher
I like to tailor my lessons to the individual, as I believe that we are all unique in both our learning styles and our topics of interest. I also believe it is important to have fun while learning, as this makes it more memorable. I would like to meet my students and assess their needs and goals and discuss how we would approach this in our lessons. I am a great listener and my goals are to make my students feel absolutely comfortable with me and my teaching styles while achieving their own goals.My lessons & teaching style
This is a wide open question as each student is unique in how they learn, so each lesson would be more specific to the student in a warm and relaxed classroom. I believe in using the PPP methodology, as taught in most TEFL programs. I feel that we all learn through repetition and practice. Presentation first, of the subject matter, preferably an interesting topic for the student. Then practicing the lessons and learning the nuances that go along with the confusing English language. Lastly, the production or output of solid understanding and comprehension of the lesson. I would incorporate reading and writing, speaking and listening, the Direct Method approach as well as TPR and CLT.My teaching material
