About Me

My name is Dineo from Gaborone, Botswana. I enjoy learning new languages and cultures. Besides speaking English and Setswana, I've taken classes in French, Mandarin, and Portuguese. I have basic knowledge of this language and would love to learn more so I know what it's like to learn a new language. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Sociology. My dream is to become a translator and travel the world. I have been a tutor online for a little over a year and enjoy working with cooperative and jolly students.

My creations

Me as a Teacher

Since 2019 I have been a teaching assistant in two high schools in my city full-time and part-time. My lessons are fun and are a mixture of reading, writing, listening, speaking with a focus on conversation but I can tailor lessons to any area you would like to improve. I find it very easy to breakdown ideas in a way that makes them easier to comprehend and I find joy in that.

My lessons & teaching style

I teach conversations, pronunciation, spelling, grammar, and word articulation. My teaching style is personalized learning with a student-centered approach. Due to the fact that every student is different, I will come up with lesson plans that benefit each student. This means that once a student has mastered a subject or topic, we will move on to the next level. First I find out if the student wants to better their pronunciation or practice with conversation, from there I know what the priorities are and tailor my lesson to address problem areas.
