Hello everyone. My name is Arfaan and I live in Kampala Uganda. I am an Attorney by profession and have worked in the legal profession for over 20 years. I speak fluent English and Kiswahili. I am also very fluent in Kutchi, an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Kutch region of India and also in the Sindh region of Pakistan. I have mostly taught English (both spoken and written) to children, teenagers and adults both remotely and at home. I can assist you with English pronunciation, writing and conversation or just about anything you require. I also write, direct, produce and act in plays and can offer tips or guidance if you are interested in acting, drama or theatre.Me as a Teacher
So, teaching is my thing! A friend of mine introduced me to Italki and thought it would be a great idea to impart my knowledge to others. I want the satisfaction of contributing to my community I am very patient, flexible and open-minded. I encourage my students to ask questions, take risks and overcome the fear of making mistakes as this is part of the learning process. All levels are welcome (we will start from scratch if need be). My goal as your teacher is to improve your ENGLISH language skills! I have many topics of interest that we can talk about. I’m an outspoken person and a good listener. During our classes, I’ll pay attention to your issues/needs/difficulties and address them.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is highly adaptable. I do not really prefer one teaching method, or one way of interacting with the students. Because in my opinion, each student is different, so is each lesson, and a good teacher should always adjust his or her teaching to their audience.
