In love with teaching
italki teacher since Mar 13, 2023
I'm an open-minded, easy-going and sociable Ukrainian. I have always been lucky to meet great people. I feel that now it is really important not to loose your identity. In our diverse world every country plays a significant role and a language is the tool that lets us understand each other better. So I'm really inspired with the opportunity to help you to start speaking one of the most beautiful languages in the world!
Me as a Teacher
I tend to be a flexible teacher, the one who does their best to hear a student. Not only am I a native Ukrainian, but I've been an English teacher for over 15years, providing group and individual lessons offline as well as online. I graduated from Kharkiv National Pedagogical University(Kharkiv, Ukraine) and also I got CELTA - Cambridge certificate of the English language teaching to adults, so I'm pretty sure that my experience in teaching English to foreigners might be really valuable
for helping you to speak Ukrainian. Languages are learned in a similar way, so I'm aware of the possible problems you might have and the ways to solve them, using different modern approaches and methods.
My lessons & teaching style
My main goal is to show my students the safest and the most comfortable way not to get lost in the 'dark forest' of another language and let them be independent and be able not to be afraid to get their hands dirty. My lessons depends on your personality. People are different and we learn in different ways, so I am for using different approaches at my lessons. I can make you speak you a lot(communicative approach), concentrate on your interests, using real-life resources and the urgent language that needs to be learnt at the moment(Dogme) or we can learn everything via collocations(lexical approach). All modern approaches in teaching a foreign language can be applied in teaching Ukrainian.
