Greetings to all. 🙌 If you are looking for an experienced and certified Tibetan teacher then you are on the right profile! I am a native Tibetan speaker and currently I am living in Dharamsala, India. I have completed my Bachelor’s Degree (Shastri Degree) in Tibetan Grammar and Literature, along with English and Buddhist Philosophy from Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath, Varanasi, and my Master’s degree from Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (Affiliated with Sikkim University) Gangtok, Sikkim. I am also working as a translator from English to Tibetan, and vice versa. My goal with teaching and life in general is to provide people with more value than they expect. 🙂Me as a Teacher
For over five years, I've been instructing Tibetan language online to individuals who aren't native speakers. Throughout this experience, I've covered a spectrum of subjects, ranging from Classical and standard Tibetan to colloquial speech, grammar, reading, and calligraphy, catering to students at all skill levels. With a roster exceeding 100 students, I've witnessed their progression from novice to adept, a testament to the collaborative efforts invested by both student and instructor. My commitment lies in demystifying Tibetan pronunciation, everyday usage, and overall fluency, tailored to each student's learning objectives.

Learning with me is fun and relaxed; 😃there is no need to be nervous about making mistakes. Your level, motivations, and learning style are more important to me, so I always keep that in mind. I am a relaxed teacher that is dedicated to your success in learning Tibetan. I will set you homework that will help you to solidify what you have learned. We can study videos, texts, audios, and other content you find interesting. I have been learning Tibetan with Norbu for 50 hours now. From knowing just a few letters at the beginning to being able to express myself basically, I have had a wonderful time with Norbu. He is an excellent teacher, as he dedicates himself wholeheartedly to the progress of his students. He tailors different courses based on the needs and characteristics of each student. He is also very accommodating; no matter what I ask for, he always agrees. This is why I have made such rapid progress. Learning with him not only brings me the joy of mastering Tibetan itself but also nourishes my soul with the warmth and kindness he radiates. I truly feel so fortunate to have met him.
