Sæll / Sæl!
I’m a native Icelander with a passion for Languages, Tolkien, and Music.
I have an affinity for poetry, mythology and folklore, and some of my favourite authors are Tolkien, Jung, and many (many) more.
Besides Icelandic, I'm fluent in Danish, Swedish, and English. Additionally, I study German, Italian, and Japanese in my spare time.
I’m currently living in Austria studying towards a double BA in Latin and philosophy. I have also studied Theatre, Voice and the Alexander Technique in Stockholm and London.
Me as a Teacher
I'm adaptive to your needs and I always aim to keep the lessons relaxed.
I take on a limited amount of students, to be able to better give you the attention and continuity needed for learning.
My lessons & teaching style
Learning the vocabulary, listening comprehension, and of course pronunciation are by far more important in the beginning of your language journey.
I have designed a system for acquiring Icelandic pronunciation, as this tends to be particularly difficult no matter where you’re from.

A short yet fantastic session! Mímir's feedback was very useful and reassuring. I feel that I am gradually progressing with the pronunciation. :)
