Γεια σας! 여러분, 안녕하세요! My name is Marina and I'm from Athens, Greece. I graduated from SOAS University in London with a degree (BA) in English and Korean. As part of the “study abroad'' programme during my second academic year, I studied in Korea University (고려대) in Seoul. I have been teaching in an informal setting for the past two years, and I'm currently formally teaching English to Greek natives at a tutoring center. In addition to being a native Greek speaker, I’m fluent in English and I can also speak Korean with an advanced level of proficiency. It is my love of exchanging languages and cultures that motivated me to begin teaching in the first place!

Me as a Teacher

Do you plan on starting from the very beginning? Or maybe you already know the language to some extent? Would you like to learn some words or phrases for basic communication? Regardless of what the case may be, I cater to my students' needs and will happily teach a full Greek course, as well as specific stuff they want to learn. I always prioritise my students and make sure to create a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for everyone, along with imparting my knowledge. The lessons I deliver tend to be interactive. This approach, in my personal opinion, is the most effective, as actively engaging students will definitely have positive results and will keep progressing.

My lessons & teaching style

I will make sure that the materials I provide to you are accessible to everyone. Additionally, I will make my own PPT slides, documents with exercises, vocabulary, and homework, as well as handouts or any other documents (usually in pdf format). No need for you to buy anything!
