Mabuhay! Thank you for taking the time in visiting my profile😊. I am April from Iloilo City, Philippines. I excel both in Filipino Literary and Performing Arts and I am also a journalist. With these skills and my love for our language, I encouraged myself to use it to make others understand this language and hopefully, make them fall in love with it, too. I am a kind, jolly, and optimistic person who loves meeting new people and helping others. In fact, I am a church volunteer and I tutor kids from our neighborhood. Given this opportunity to be a tutor here in iTalki, I hope I will serve my purpose right to unleash the full potential of my students to excel in using the Filipino language.Me as a Teacher
I want to impart to my student that "learning" doesn't stop the moment you part ways with your teachers. It is true what others say, “A great way to master a language is to consistently practice it" and I'll be implementing this with my students in my class.
Learning is different for every individual that is why I need to be flexible and make adjustments according to the needs of my students. I seek perfection on a consistent and slow-paced basis because I believe better things take time especially when it comes to learning. I make every class worthy of the time and effort that I, as a teacher, and my students are sacrificing because I know how these things are precious to each one of us.My lessons & teaching style
I want my class to be interactive and to be full of learnings as possible. My lessons will depend upon the level of language proficiency of my students and they will just be easy, light, and fun. Also, I want to give my students enough time to process their learnings. I will encourage my students to talk more so that we can achieve our goal to make them speak the Filipino language with confidence.My teaching material
