About Me
italki teacher since Sep 15, 2022
I grew up in upstate New York. My first language is Yiddish, but I speak English fluently. I have a real passion for languages, language learning, language teaching, and discovering the culture and history behind languages.

Me as a Teacher
I believe that there is no one "right" way of grasping a language. Every person is individual and responds to a different learning style. As a teacher I believe in finding out what works best for the student (whether it's visual, audible, oral...) and working through that to get them speaking the language confidently.
My lessons & teaching style
In the lessons, I will read Yiddish stories with the students to help them practice comprehension, help them write sentences so they can practice coming up with the words on their own, and engage in conversations slowly and clearly. I can teach grammar through reading, speaking and charts. Whatever the student benefits most from, that is the method that I will use so that they can feel comfortable in class, and when putting their skills into practice.
