Hi, I am Arista and I am an online teacher, photographer, artist and I live in the capital city of Botswana. I love trying new things, meeting new people and going cycling on weekends, but you can mostly find me at home surrounded by those I love.

Me as a Teacher

Teaching isn't just a job it's a passion for me! I have taught a lot of people from all different walks of life and ages. Teaching my home language is an absolute treat and I really enjoy watching my students learn and grow in confidence. My class is a very relaxed atmosphere filled with good conversation.

My lessons & teaching style

I teach everyday conversational Afrikaans. My lessons are simple as we will mainly focus on Conversational Afrikaans and learning the everyday conversational language through topic discussions and questions. During the lessons I take notes of what needs improving in regards to your pronunciation, phrasing a sentence, and learning new words. In our next lesson we will go through the notes and discuss the problem areas and ways to improve them. My main goal is to build your confidence in speaking Afrikaans that you can take part in every conversations that you wish.
