Hi!! :)
My name is Dilinthe, I was born and grew up in the Netherlands. I have been traveling the world since I was sixteen due to work and have always been curious towards learning new things; may it be a skill, language, people or culture and broadening my horizon :p
I used to live and work in Tokyo for half a year. I also studied Korean at the Seoul National University for half a year and did an internship at a Korean fashion brand based in Seoul, last winter and spring. I have also been to the United States and other countries in Europe :)Me as a Teacher
Since I myself, am still a student, I know how boring and sometimes difficult it can be to learn a new language. It is definitely not always fun. But like a lot of things in life, you can make it more fun yourself (and sometimes you need a little help ;)) !
As far as my teaching experience; I used to tutor English in my middle school!
I am a calm and patient person and can listen well, but I can also easily take the lead and guide the conversation. Whatever is your preference! It is very important for you to feel comfortable and there is no such thing as a 'stupid question' or a 'stupid mistake', so never be embarrassed! Please, make a lot of mistakes, so you can learn even more! ;)My lessons & teaching style
For me, it is important that you learn something, without really having that 'I have to study this' feeling. So we are going to study in a light-hearted and fun way. However, this does not mean I am not going to challenge you! (If you are really up for it, we can even practice learning different accents and dialects ;))
When we will study, I will use multimedia sources like songs and tv-shows. We are going to practice all the language skills; reading, speaking, writing and listening. Based on your preference we can also focus on a single skill. If you want a grammar question answered, please let me know ahead of the lesson so I can prepare some exercises and explanation for you! :)My teaching material
