About Me

I'm a native Croatian and English speaker, as well as a certified English teacher. I’ve taught Croatian as a tutor for over 10 years, helping my students reach a higher level of fluency and confidence in Croatian. I’ve also learned languages myself, and I'm fluent in Russian and Spanish. So, with my experience in both learning and teaching languages, I’m familiar with all the challenges of learning a language, and can help you overcome those challenges and reach your goals. My interests —playing music (guitar, bass, drums, singing) —cooking, especially Chinese, Mexican, Indian —rock climbing, skateboarding and hiking —reading (fantasy, sci-fi, mystery etc.)

I love teaching because I love learning, and being able to help someone learn and seeing them get better and more confident is one of the most wonderful things in the world for me. My goal is to help you reach your goal. I want to get to know you and give you the tools to learn in a way that suits your personality and needs.

My lessons & teaching style

I offer two lesson types: Croatian Crash Course and Razgovor na hrvatskom (Conversation in Croatian). The Croatian Crash Course will focus on elements like pronunciation, word and sentence structure, while the conversational lessons will focus on how to actually use those elements fluently in a real conversation. I want to guide you on your path to learning Croatian, and that means finding, adapting and creating materials, and adopting an approach that fits your interests, needs and current language level. Our lessons will be fun and relaxed, but not too easy, because challenging yourself will help you step outside your comfort zone and make real progress.
