My first and foremost rule as a teacher is that the student sets the pace. I have no trouble repeating things or coming at them from another angle until the student understands the concept. I am someone who likes to make the class a conversation style lesson so that the student understands the concept and the context of usage of said concept.My lessons & teaching style
At first we will do a few rules and then shift to a video / audio to decipher that uses said rule and finally we would try to have a conversation using what we have learnt. That being said if you feel like this is not working for you I would always be open to having conversations about how we can make the class more productive as I understand one method does not work for everyone.My teaching material
