Hello! My name is Sadhbh! I am from Cork in Ireland. I am 26 years old and currently live in Vancouver, Canada. I was raised bilinguals with both English and Irish (Gaelic) at home, so consider both to be my mother tongues. I have a deep passion for the Irish language, as well ad Irish history and culture. I love art and nature and find joy in simplicities of life. I love to meet people that share my passion for languages and am very excited to meet and help anyone that would like my help, or just to have a chat in Irish.

Me as a Teacher

I am a positive and relaxed person. For me as a teacher these traits will also show in my lesson style. Although I do believe in the importance of learning grammar and rules, I personally feel that a student should always feel comfortable communicating, and not be intimidated by anyone else’s level of the language. As language is a communication tool, that would be my primary focus. However I am also happy to focus on grammar and rules in-depth if that is what you would like to do. For me, being comfortable is the first step to learning!

My lessons & teaching style

Currently my teaching style is mainly conversational, but I am also happy to focus on other aspects of the language if that is where practice is preferred.
