About Me

Hi, I’m Ly, I’m 28 years old. I’m from Vietnam and I speak with a northern accent. I have lived in Ho Chi Minh city since 2014. I graduated from Vietnam Aviation Academy in 2018. I majored in business administration. I love talking, explaining to you about Vietnam and Vietnamese as well. That's the reason i decided to teach Vietnamese on italki. I like reading history books and traveling. I’m a minimalist. Badminton is my favorite sport and I usually play badminton with my friends at the weekend. I'm a patient, sociable person.

Me as a Teacher

I have experience in teaching Vietnamese students (primary and secondary students) in 2 years when I was a university student. It’s really a memorable time. I've studied a lot about how to teach Vietnamese to the foreigners.

My lessons & teaching style

My key teaching style is “Repetition is the mother of learning”. We’re going to learn and practice relentlessly. Two important factors are your language learning style and your learning targets. We’ll talk more about that to find out the best way for you. I also use plenty of materials for teaching, such as: image files, books, audio, music, trending news,... Next, I always use google docs or Power point slide in my lessons so that you can take a look, follow and practice. I’m not only a tutor, but also a friend of my students. We enjoy learning Vietnamese together and discuss anything you are interested in.
