My name is Avishag, but you can call me Avi. I was born and raised in Israel, where I've worked both as a theater actor and an educator. I've always enjoyed engaging with people from all walks of life, which is what initially drew me to work as a tour guide.
As someone who has always valued genuine dialogue and connection, I believe that learning a language is not just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. It's about engaging with the culture and the people who speak that language. That's why I'm so excited to be starting this new chapter as a conversational Hebrew teacher.
I hope to bring the same energy, passion, and genuine curiosity to my Hebrew lessons as I did to my tours.

Me as a Teacher
As a conversational Hebrew teacher, I bring a dynamic and engaging approach to the classroom. My background as a theater actor and former tour guide has given me a unique perspective and skill set that I bring to my teaching.
I'm passionate about helping my students not just learn the language, but truly engage with the culture and people who speak it. I believe that language is about more than just memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules; it's about building genuine connections with others.
As a teacher, I strive to create a supportive and interactive learning environment that fosters real-world communication skills.
My lessons & teaching style
In my conversational Hebrew lessons, I use a variety of creative and dynamic teaching methods to help my students build their language skills and gain confidence in their ability to communicate in Hebrew. One of my favorite approaches is to use mini-dialogues, songs, and slang to bring the language to life and make it fun and engaging for my students.
Through these mini-dialogues, my students are able to practice real-world conversations and gain the confidence they need to communicate with Hebrew speakers in a variety of settings. I also use songs to help my students learn new vocabulary and grammar rules, as well as to expose them to different aspects of Hebrew culture.
